Music Theory gives students the language and listening skills needed to understand how music works. Through written analysis, ear training, rhythmic practice, and daily application, students build a strong foundation for performance, composition, arranging, and advanced musical study.

WHAT STUDENTS PRACTICE

• Reading and writing musical notation

• Pitch, interval, scale, chord, and rhythm recognition

• Rhythmic, melodic, and harmonic dictation

• Ear-training drills and critical listening
